Build them up
Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up. Romans 15:2
Holy Spirit
But when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be filled with power, and you will be witnesses for me in Jerusalem, in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
How can they call?
But how can they call to him for help if they have not believed? And how can they believe if they have not heard the message? And how can they hear if the message is not proclaimed? Romans 10:14
Safe with God
It is dangerous to be concerned with what others think of you, but if you trust the LORD, you are safe. Proverbs. 29:25
Wisdom from heaven
The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness. — James 3:17-18
God is not unjust
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. Hebrews 6:10
Reverence for Christ
But have reverence for Christ in your hearts, and honor him as Lord. Be ready at all times to answer anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have in you, 1st Peter 3:15
God is wise
Oh, the depth and riches of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out. — Romans 11:33
God is with me and happy with me.
The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17
God shows us this way
But God has shown us how much he loves us—it was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us!. Romans 5:8
I don't understand the work of God
As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother's womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. — Ecclesiastes 11:5
Given up my pride
Psalm 131:1-3 GNT
[1] Lord, I have given up my pride and turned away from my arrogance. I am not concerned with great matters or with subjects too difficult for me.
[2] Instead, I am content and at peace. As a child lies quietly in its mother's arms, so my heart is quiet within me.
[3] Israel, trust in the Lord now and forever!
Note: God is in control and God is good. I don't need to worry. I don't need to try to fix others or save others. If I can serve by helping while also not being prideful, not for personal gain, giving glory to God with joy in my heart, considering others better than me, I believe it will be OK. I can give up, I can surrender.
God made me
Psalm 139:13-14
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Bearing fruit (pain as fertilizer)
“…Joseph is a fruitful bough, a fruitful bough by a spring; his branches run over the wall.” (Genesis 49:22)
Within the boundaries of our lives, we each build our own unique existence based on our personalities, families, friends, environments, and possessions. There may be things within that we do not like. Yet we cannot exist while ignoring them.
Within the fence of Joseph’s life, there was much suffering. Yet Joseph used it as fertilizer to nurture his sapling. As a result, the tree of his life bore not only the fruit of becoming prime minister but also the fruit of a mature character.
Are you wasting your time feeling nothing but dissatisfaction within the confines of your own fence?
If you use all the conditions within your fence to bear vibrant fruit, those branches will reach beyond the fence.
And just as Joseph provided for the needs of his brothers who had sold him into slavery, you too will provide for your neighbors on the other side of the fence.
I will bear fruit beyond the fence!
